Q: I don't live in Ingersoll, can I come to Fusion?
A: Yes you can! The Fusion youth centre is open for all youth, regardless of where you live.
Q: What hours are you open?
A: Our hours are the same all year, and don't change in the summer when school's out. For a complete list of all our hours, click here.
Q: I don't know anybody at Fusion. How can I make friends there?
A: Fusion is designed to help you make new friends. Our staff will be happy to give you a tour and introduce you to people your age who are interested in the same things that you are.
Q: What do I get for my $5 membership fee?
A: Your annual membership fee includes music lessons, art lessons, cooking lessons, access to the recording studio, gym, technology centre, Internet access, food, fun, and lots more! That's a pretty sweet deal!
Q: Where can I voice my opinion?
A: If you ever have any suggestions or ideas for programs or Fusion in general, talk to any of the staff and they will be sure to help you!
Q: How do I suggest new games for the Gaming Zone?
A: Talk to any of the staff, and if the game is appropriate, we'll look into getting it installed.
Q: Is Fusion wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes! Fusion is fully accessible.
Q: How do I book studio time or music lessons?
A: Speak to Otto, and he can schedule some studio time for you.
Q: Who can I talk to for support?
A: If you need help with an issue, you can speak to any of our supportive staff members. We're here for you! We will also help you connect with other support organizations if necessary.
Q: How can I volunteer at Fusion?
A: Talk to Craig about volunteering at the Haunted House, Run Ingersoll, or another event.
Q. To be a Fusion member, what age does my child need to be?
A. Any youth between the ages of 12 and 18 can be a Fusion member.
Q. Is there an extra cost for your programs?
A. No. All our regular programs are included with your child's annual membership. Additional costs may be required to attend special outings or events.
Q. How can I contact my child when they are at Fusion?
A. You can contact Fusion by phone at 519-485-4386. Our staff will let your child know they have a phone call, and allow them to speak to you on the phone. You may also come to the Fusion office if you need to speak with your child in person.
Q. How many staff are working each day?
A. In every room that is open within the centre, there is a staff member supervising at all times. There is also a staff member supervising the exterior of the building, and we have security cameras inside and outside the building.
Q. What if the youth leave Fusion to go to somewhere?
A. Fusion staff members supervise the youth at all times while the youth are on our property. However, we cannot prevent or restrict them from leaving the centre.
Q. Can I stay with my child in the centre?
A. No. To ensure the safety of all our members, we do not allow anyone over the age of 18 in the building unless they are a volunteer. You are welcome to come to the Fusion office if you need to speak with your child.
Q. What is Fusion’s policy on bullying?
A. At Fusion, we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying in any form. Any youth who participates in bullying will be asked to leave the centre, and may also be suspended.
Q. Does my child have to live in Ingersoll to be a Fusion Member?
A. No. Fusion membership is open to all youth between the ages of 10 and 18.
Q. Can I suspend my child’s Fusion membership?
A. Yes. If you wish to suspend your child’s membership, please inform our staff. We will suspend your child's membership until you provide a new membership form with your signature giving your child permission to return.
Q. Is the Fusion Youth Centre wheelchair accessible?
A. Yes. All our rooms are fully accessible, including the washrooms.
